Proxy access

Modified on Thu, 18 Jan at 11:15 AM

Proxy IPs can be used to support institutional access to the Virtual Library. This includes those uniquely assigned to your institution by a third party, e.g. EZProxy. However, if your internet traffic is managed by a third party (e.g. ZScaler) who allocate your public-facing IPs dynamically (i.e. within IP ranges that can include traffic from different organisations), then we cannot use these ranges, as they will not uniquely identify your traffic.

Please ensure that the database definitions in your EZProxy settings, match those on OCLC's stanza page:
https://help.oclc.org/Library_Management/EZproxy/EZproxy_database_stanzas/Database_stanzas_I/ICE_Virtual_Library

OCLC hosted EZproxy

If your EZproxy server is hosted by OCLC and you are experiencing access issues, please contact them directly via your local OCLC Support team (OCLC Customer Support) and ask them to ensure that they have listed the correct database definitions for your EZproxy server.
